The Covered Bridge in Autumn

A covered bridge gives this autumn watercolor by Good Old Tom its welcoming focal point. The surrounding landscape frames the crossing, bringing together the character of a rural structure and the softness of the season. Layered washes lend the scene a nostalgic calm, inviting viewers to imagine an unhurried journey toward the shelter of the bridge.
